Wonderful comments left by people who came to the Market Day on Saturday. Great feedback for our fantastic volunteers who made the day possible and for everyone who came to run a stall or provide entertainment. We must do this again! Remember to add the Christmas Market to your calendar: Saturday 19th November in the Square, and keep an eye open for more news, hopefully, of repeating the Market Day next summer.
The Jubilee Park Working Group and Alyth Development Trust are delighted to announce that three picnic benches and two benches have been given the go ahead from PKC Greenspace to be installed in Jubilee Park. Alyth Amateurs, AYP, Alyth Scouts, Game Square and ACC were all consulted.
The benches form part of the feedback from the Alyth Community Action Plan/Alyth Community Consultation Survey of 2021, plans derived from which are now being enacted throughout the town.
Work has already begun to install the base surface for the new benches as well as improve access to the path from the carpark. It’s hoped the benches will be installed as quickly as possible this summer but unfortunately timescales are outwith our control for us to take delivery.
Once completed BBQ plates will be installed. The tables have longer tops which make them perfect for wheelchair users. We know this will make a difference to many carers and their clients as well as members of the community.
