Alyth Community Council, with the help of SSE’s Drumderg Windfarm, is offering local Groups or Associations financial assistance with micro-grants up to the value of ?500. The grants are for community projects that enhance the quality of life in Alyth.
The SSE have laid down some limitations on which types of funding can be awarded but these are not too onerous. Projects outside the Drumderg area or contrary to SSE’s interests aren’t eligible, nor is any project with a political or religious aspect nor which involves firearms or is intended to cover direct energy costs. You can’t apply for projects that have already been completed either, nor for work that should be done by statutory authorities.
