
Update received this afternoon from the Ranger for Alyth Den:Major works starting in the Den of Alyth next week (Monday 26 October). The project includes:
- Sediment removal
- Drainage clearance
- Culvert repair/replacement
- Landslip stabilisation
- Pathway reinstatement
Sediment removal along the bed of the Burn starts first, expected to last 3-4 days, followed by the pathway/other works with an overall duration of 10 working days.
Tullyfergus bridge carpark will be closed to the public and used as a site compound for the duration of the proposed works. The path closures will be carried out in two phases to allow maximum public access and use of the site. Permission and approvals for all the above works within the Den have been agreed in advance with both SNH and SEPA. Please see the attached signage with map of pathway closures.
