Alyth Town Hall
Alyth’s historic Town Hall is getting a new look for its rear hallway and toilet thanks to a ?2,000 grant from our Community Projects Fund. ?The Main Hall and Foyer were refurbished and renovated last year and the plan is for the new works to bring the rear hallway up to the same standard.
Alyth Photographic Club
Alyth Photographic Club will soon be showing off Alyth and their members’ creativity more effectively, thanks to a ?2,000 grant from ADT’s Community Projects Fund. Club members are using the grant to buy hi-tech computer and projection equipment to show off their work to national standards. As well as enabling members to compete in national competitions, the Club will also use the new gear when they are asked to give presentations and displays to other groups in and around Alyth.
The Alyth Scouts are well set-up for lots more outdoor activity thanks to a ?2000 grant from ADT’s Community Projects Fund. The money has helped them buy 12 new hike tents and shelters for use by all sections of the Group. The new lightweight camping equipment can be used by every section – Beavers, Cubs Scouts and Explorer Scouts – and will enable the Group to provide outdoor adventure for our entire group.
ADT has awarded a ?2000 grant to Alyth Allotments to fund a new access gate for better security; instal a waste skip for unwanted debris (broken glass/timber/metal/etc); create a slabbed seating area with picnic benches, and buy a petrol mower and strimmer for shared use.
Alyth Primary School Parent School Association
ADT is funding the purchase of a school sound system plus iPad-compatible microphones and clip-on microphones by the Parent School Association to help them run better, more effective school events. By enlisting the children in operating the equipment, the project will also teach them valuable IT skills.
